Veteran broadcaster, historian, and Tejano music champion Rudy Treviño will be celebrated later this year with a special tribute event recognizing his decades-long impact on the genre. The Rudy Treviño Legacy Award and Gala is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, at the Grand Ballroom of the Holiday Inn Corpus Christi Airport & Conference Center.
The gala will bring together some of the most influential figures in Tejano music and broadcasting to honor Treviño’s extraordinary career and contributions to preserving and promoting the genre.
In recognition of his lifelong dedication to Tejano music, the State of Texas, through the Texas Music Office, will present Treviño with an official proclamation signed by Greg Abbott, Governor of Texas.
