NEW ORLEANS — A Gretna woman was indicted for allegedly stealing $181,000 from a federal credit union where she worked as a bank manager, federal prosecutors said.
Alexa Marie Braud, 34, was indicted Feb. 27 on an allegation of bank theft, the Department of Justice’s U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Louisiana reported.
On Feb. 4, Braud entered Riverland Federal Credit Union in Gretna, where she was a bank manager, and took $181,000 in cash, according to the DOJ report. The National Credit Union Administration insures the credit union’s deposits…
