David Fatino crawled on the ground outside his apartment complex with one hand clenching his chest and the other calling 911 from his cellphone. The 30-year-old, who was born with cerebral palsy and narcolepsy, was having a heart attack, and was close to a tragic event.
Paramedics and the fire department arrived and told him that his vitals were fine, but Fatino told them he knew something was wrong with his body. They rushed him to the emergency room, and after five doctors visited Fatino within a few minutes, he knew something wasn’t right.
“My heart started to expand because it was rubbing against the wall of my chest,” Fatino said. “It was like sandpaper, and it started to enflame the sac around my heart, and if it would have exploded, I would have died.”…
