Cincinnati Bengals Star Ja’Marr Chase Unleashes Expletive-Laden Rant After Rival Ravens Acquire Maxx Crosby

Cincinnati, OH – Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase didn’t hold back his frustration after learning that the Las Vegas Raiders had traded five-time Pro Bowl edge rusher Maxx Crosby to the AFC North rival Baltimore Ravens. The news, delivered via text from quarterback Joe Burrow, prompted an expletive-laden outburst from Chase during a recent livestream.

“Joe just f—ing texted me. Ravens traded for Maxx Crosby,” Chase exclaimed, expressing his disbelief and anger.

“No f—ing s—. No f—ing s—, brother.

I’m f—ing highly p—ed right now. Oh my God.”

The acquisition of Crosby adds another formidable pass rusher to an already stacked AFC North, which boasts the likes of Myles Garrett of the Cleveland Browns and T.J. Watt of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Chase questioned, “How do we let this n—- go to the f—ing division bro? … Oh my god.”

The Ravens reportedly sent two first-round picks to the Raiders, including the No. 14 overall selection in the upcoming NFL Draft, to secure the 28-year-old Crosby. This move signals Baltimore’s commitment to bolstering their defense under new defensive-minded head coach Jesse Minter.

For the Bengals, Crosby’s arrival in the division poses a significant challenge, particularly given the team’s ongoing struggles with offensive line protection. Since entering the league in 2020, Joe Burrow has been sacked 213 times, a statistic that ranks him among the most-sacked active quarterbacks.

With approximately $47 million available in cap space during the legal tampering period, the Bengals are expected to address their offensive line concerns, either through free agency or the NFL Draft. Adding to the team’s defensive shifts, the Bengals notably did not use the franchise tag on pass rusher Trey Hendrickson, who is now expected to seek a substantial deal in free agency.

After consecutive successful seasons, including an AFC Championship Game appearance in 2022 and a Super Bowl run in 2021, the Bengals have faced recent setbacks, largely attributed to injuries to Burrow. The team finished the past season with a 6-11 record, with Burrow playing only eight games.

Despite the defensive challenges, the Bengals retain potent offensive firepower with Chase, Tee Higgins, and running back Chase Brown, who had a breakout 2025 season with over 1,000 rushing yards. However, navigating the AFC North’s defenses six times a year will undoubtedly be tougher with Crosby now in Baltimore. Chase’s reaction makes it clear: he knows it.
