After a slower warm-up than initially expected, much warmer weather is finally on the way this week, with temperatures potentially climbing into the low 80s by midweek.
According to the National Weather Service, lingering showers are expected today along a slow-moving frontal boundary, but warmer temperatures will begin settling in from today through Wednesday. The agency also notes that a strong cold front is forecast to move through the region late Wednesday into Thursday.
