One person died and another sustained critical injuries when a train struck them on Saturday, March 7, in West Palm Beach.
Police did not identify either the people or the rail company whose train struck them along the 500 block of Monroe Drive at about 6:20 p.m. Both Florida East Coast Railway freight and Brightline passenger trains use the tracks.
The Monroe Drive crossing is between Georgia Avenue and Dixie Highway north of Southern Boulevard. Police found one person dead at the scene, and paramedics drove the injured person to a hospital. They said the investigation remains open…
