Hamilton Road Shake-Up: 368-Unit Luxury Complex Hits Gahanna-New Albany Edge

A sprawling new apartment project is on its way to Columbus’ far-northeast edge, with a local developer betting big on renters who want resort vibes without leaving the Hamilton Road corridor. The plan, a 368-unit community called Windsor Place at Chestnut Hills, would bring hundreds of new apartments near Gahanna and New Albany with class-A finishes and a long list of amenities.

According to NBC4, The Daimler Group is developing Windsor Place at Chestnut Hills at 5097 N. Hamilton Road, a 368-unit community spread across 18 two- and three-story buildings. The company told the station that apartments will run from one to three bedrooms and will feature wood flooring, stainless-steel appliances, in-unit washers and dryers, and walk-in closets.

NBC4 reports that Daimler broke ground on the previously undeveloped site in June and expects residents to begin moving in during the fourth quarter of 2026.

The amenity list reads like a vacation brochure. Per NBC4, Windsor Place will include a resort-style pool lined with outdoor kitchens and fire pits, a fitness center with a sauna and pilates room, outdoor parks, a bocce court, and a pond with an overlook deck. The clubhouse, scheduled to open on Labor Day for leasing, is set to include a pool table, golf simulator, movie room, two bars, and large gathering spaces upstairs and downstairs…
