The allure of a state medal was treasure that lied just out of reach. Having not placed, if given the opportunity, the Central Dauphin ace knew things would go differently in the future.
So, when she found herself in the blood round during Friday’s 190-pound bracket, Hoffman broke through by pinning Seneca Valley’s Hannah Hornick. It was enough to seize the first state medal of her career, and enough to keep her season alive at the time…
