IMPD investigating after officers find 2 shooting victims on east side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS — Police launched an investigation after they found two shooting victims along North Ritter Avenue Sunday night.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 1700 block of North Ritter Avenue around 8:06 p.m. to investigate a shooting. When police arrived at the scene, they located an adult male shooting victim among a small crowd of individuals.

The victim was subsequently transported from the scene to a local hospital in critical condition. Police reported that the victim told them that the shooting happened behind a nearby apartment complex.

When police circled behind the apartment complex, they located a person of interest. IMPD indicated that the person of interest has not been cooperative with investigators thus far…
