Update: Former Sevierville officer charged with DUI after off-duty crash in November

SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. — A former Sevierville police officer turned himself in and was arrested on March 5 after being indicted for a DUI in an off-duty crash in November, according to the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office.

Alex Brots is facing two counts of driving under the influence and one count of violation of implied consent in the incident, according to the Sevier County jail roster, which involved him and former officer Alan Williams. Officials with the City of Sevierville confirmed that both men resigned while the SCSO awaited their toxicology reports from the crash.
