Flight out of Nashville diverted, person removed due to ‘security matter,’ officials say

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A person was removed from a flight out of Nashville Friday night after the plane landed early in Atlanta due to a “possible security matter,” officials said.

According to Southwest Airlines, Flight 2094 to Fort Lauderdale departed from Nashville International Airport at 7:15 p.m. Friday. A spokesperson for the airline said the flight was diverted to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in response to a “possible security matter.”

The Federal Aviation Administration reported that the flight landed in Atlanta around 9 p.m. after the crew reported a “passenger disturbance.”…
