Firefighters put out a 2-acre brush fire that started amid strong gusty winds near homes north of Mission Valley on Sunday.
Firefighters with the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department received a call of the emergency at around 11:47 a.m. and responded to the fire at 2255 Meadow Lark Dr. in the Birdland neighborhood, according to SDFD.
The incident was a “really small fire that started off intense due to proximity to powerlines and an apartment complex,” said SDFD Capt. Jason Shanley.
