Red Curb Stop In San Jose Turns Into Gun And Drug Bust

What started as a routine look at a car parked at a red curb in San Jose today turned into a full-blown bust, after officers say they found a loaded, unserialized handgun tucked into the driver’s waistband and small packages of suspected methamphetamine and cocaine.

Police say a search of the driver and the vehicle turned up more than just the gun and drugs. Officers also reported finding a digital scale and a large amount of cash, and the driver was booked on weapons and narcotics charges.

According to the San Jose Police Department, officers conducted an enforcement stop on a vehicle parked along a red curb and saw small packages that appeared to contain methamphetamine and cocaine. The department said a subsequent search uncovered the loaded unserialized handgun in the driver’s waistband, additional packaged narcotics, the digital scale, and the cash. The driver was taken to Santa Clara County Jail and booked on suspicion of possessing an illegal firearm and possessing narcotics for sale, the post states…
