What started as a routine look at a car parked at a red curb in San Jose today turned into a full-blown bust, after officers say they found a loaded, unserialized handgun tucked into the driver’s waistband and small packages of suspected methamphetamine and cocaine.
Police say a search of the driver and the vehicle turned up more than just the gun and drugs. Officers also reported finding a digital scale and a large amount of cash, and the driver was booked on weapons and narcotics charges.
According to the San Jose Police Department, officers conducted an enforcement stop on a vehicle parked along a red curb and saw small packages that appeared to contain methamphetamine and cocaine. The department said a subsequent search uncovered the loaded unserialized handgun in the driver’s waistband, additional packaged narcotics, the digital scale, and the cash.
