One driver died and another was hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash on West Frontage Road in Jasper County, S.C., around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Crash Sequence
A 2012 Chevrolet Suburban veered off the left side of the northbound road near Gregorie Neck Road and Exit 28 on I-95, then overcorrected into a 2011 Dodge Ram pickup. The Dodge veered right as the SUV flipped into a tree; the Chevy then hit a utility pole and overturned.
Casualties and Status
The Dodge’s lone driver died at the scene; the Jasper County Coroner has not released the name. The Suburban’s solo driver was hospitalized with condition unknown; seatbelt use unclear for either. No other injuries occurred, and SC Highway Patrol continues investigating the…..
