WILMINGTON, N.C. — Wilmington Police shot and killed a man early Sunday morning after he drove his vehicle toward a group of officers who were already responding to a separate shooting in the 100 block of Market Street, according to the police department.
Officers first responded after hearing gunfire nearby and found a man who had been shot in a parking deck in the area. He was taken by ambulance to Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center with serious injuries, police said.
While at the scene, witnesses pointed officers toward a possible suspect. Officers approached a vehicle and asked several men to get out, taking them into custody without struggle. A second vehicle matching a suspect’s description was also found nearby, Wilmington Police said…
