On Saturday, March 7, 2026, at approximately 10:15 p.m., Fort Worth Police Department’s Air One was en route to assist on a call for service in Central Division.
The helicopter took off from the heliport and was about 100 feet in the air when they experienced a mechanical issue. The helicopter pilot attempted to make it back to the heliport but experienced an emergency landing on airport property just short of the helipad.
The helicopter had one pilot and one tactical flight officer on board. Both were evaluated by the Fort Worth Fire Department for minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital as a precaution…
