JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Scattered showers will persist for areas south of I-20 throughout the morning. We could see a few breaks in the mostly cloudy skies this afternoon, allowing temperatures to climb into the mid-70s.
The work week will start with scattered rain chances and isolated thunderstorms. There is a level 2 out of 5 risk for strong thunderstorms on Monday afternoon along the I-20 corridor and north. Storms will move in around noon and last until the early evening hours.
Strong damaging wind gusts and large hail are the main threats expected with this round of storms, but an isolated tornado can not be entirely ruled out…
