SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to work as a first responder for Sioux Falls Fire Rescue, applications for this year’s Ignite Academy are open.
The Sioux Falls Public Safety Campus is where first responders in Sioux Falls train. Soon, it will also give community members a chance to see what it takes to become a firefighter for Sioux Falls Fire Rescue.
“We have drills and skills that they’re going to learn, teamwork activities. Basically, it’s a very short version of what our academy is like and what we learn when we’re in academy,” Fire and Life Safety Educator Kyle Blakeslee said.
