(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A 35-year-old woman in the custody of the El Paso County Jail died after having been taken to the hospital for medical treatment on Friday, March 6, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO).
EPSO stated that at around 1 p.m. on Friday, the woman was being treated by medical personnel at the jail when they determined that she required additional care and arranged for her transfer to the hospital. About 15 minutes later, paramedics arrived and transported her, along with an EPSO deputy who served as security.
After being admitted to the hospital, advanced medical care was provided, according to EPSO, but her condition worsened, and she passed away at around 11:30 p.m. on Friday. The cause of the woman’s death remains unknown at this time…
