GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Mason Rowland had 35 points and Olivia Reed Thyne had 33 points to lead No. 4 Colorado Mesa to a 92-67 win over second-seeded UCCS in the Championship Game of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament in Brownson Arena on Saturday (Mar. 7) evening in front of 1,925 fans.
It was the Mavericks first tournament title since 2019 and have now won 30 consecutive games while pushing their overall record to 33-1. The win avenged UCCS’ 63-61 win in the 2025 RMAC Tournament, which was also played in Brownson Arena.
UCCS’ led 57-56 on a bucket by Amyah Moore Allen with 38 seconds left in the fourth quarter and that would be their last lead. Reed Thyne put in a layup at the buzzer of the third quarter to make it 58-57 heading to the fourth quarter…
