The city of Pacific is launching a new food truck pilot program this spring targeted at re-energizing the area following major flood damage late last year.
The year-long pilot program will start with the weekly event “Food Truck Fridays,” the city announced Tuesday. Starting Friday, May 8, a variety of food trucks will offer lunch service on Fridays outside Clint Steiger Memorial Park next to City Hall.
A mix of different food trucks will be at the park each Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., including Dick’s Drive-in Food Truck, Tacos Cortes, Brank’s BBQ and Gonzo Panini.
Food trucks will also be stationed during some special events at the park, including Pacific Days on July 10 and 11, National Night Out on Aug. 4 and Outdoor Movie Night on Aug. 21. Additionally, the Pacific Community Center will have a food truck for its Harvest Festival on Halloween…
