Man On Stolen Motorcycle Had Meth, Cocaine, Ecstasy In Edgewater: Cops

Edgewater police officers stopped a 2017 Yamaha R3 sport bike bearing a fictitious Connecticut license plate on Friday, March 6 at 3:09 a.m., according to Edgewater Police Lt. Tim Farrell.

Ptl. Julian Delgado and Ptl. Matthew Tibus conducted the stop and identified the operator as Kushtrim Mjeku, a 44-year-old Bronx resident. Officers determined Mjeku was driving with a suspended license and had several outstanding warrants, Farrell said.

Police said a search incident to arrest led to the discovery of cocaine, methamphetamine, butanediol, ecstasy, prescription pills, and drug paraphernalia. Further investigation revealed the motorcycle’s VIN number had been removed and the bike had been reported stolen out of New York City on March 12, 2025, according to Farrell…
