Approval sought to develop proton therapy center

Duke University Health System Inc has filed a certificate of need application with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services for a cost overrun for Project ID #J-11382-17 to develop a proton therapy center in Durham.

The project is expected to cost $83.7 million and would be completed in September 2029. A public hearing for this project will be held April 14 at 2 p.m. in the North Meeting Room – Full Room of the Durham County Library – North Regional Library, 221 Milton Road in Durham.
