COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A portion of Fisher Road has closed Monday morning due to falling concrete from an interstate overpass in west Columbus.
According to a representative for the Ohio Department of Transportation, two large chunks of concrete and general debris have fallen into the center lanes of Fisher Road in the North Hilltop section of the city.

A call was received at 4:31 a.m. Monday, when a person called to report pieces of concrete falling from the bridge onto the road.
The ODOT rep said that while Fisher Road is closed underneath the overpass, I-70 is safe. The department is still waiting for a structural engineer to determine the severity of the damage to the bridge, but there is no immediate danger to the highway itself…
