Fowl River home destroyed by fire

THEODORE, Ala. (WKRG) — A woman in south Mobile County is trying to get her life back together after losing her home in a fire. There are still some unknowns here–not knowing what may have caused this fire and not knowing when she’ll be able to rebuild–but Theresa Pyle does know a lot of people have her back.

The home on Pioneer Road in Theodore is still standing. It caught fire on February 10th.No one was home at the time, and no one was hurt. The fire gutted the home inside and out.Pyle says she has lived in this home since 1982, it’s where she and her late husband started a family and raised two children. She says it’s a heartbreaking loss–and while things are still being sorted with insurance and other issues, she says she feels a little lost.

“This has been my home my whole adult life. I guess I am homeless. I don’t feel homeless because I’m surrounded by people that love me and support me and help me,” said Theresa Pyle. She says there was a lot to love about where she lived. “That I had a big yard. That I had wonderful neighbors. That I got to be part of the community. That my parents and grandparents lived here.”…
