Driver in allegedly stolen Kia leads Toledo police on chase, flees into Monroe County

TOLEDO, Ohio — Law enforcement are looking for the driver of an allegedly stolen vehicle who is accused of eluding police during a chase Sunday night.

According to Toledo police, officers saw a white Kia at the intersection of Secor and Bancroft around 9:10 p.m., the license plate of which matched a vehicle that had been reported as stolen. The officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver of the vehicle refused to stop, police claimed. Police began pursuing the vehicle.

The driver fled Toledo and entered Sylvania, where Sylvania police joined TPD in pursuing the vehicle. This pursuit briefly terminated, then resumed when the driver re-entered Toledo…
