ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rock Valley College is celebrating a major milestone in their partnership with Northern Illinois University. Their NIU at RVC Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering program turned 10 years old in 2026.
Lars Jameson is an NIU senior in the program taking his classes at RVC. He said taking advantage of the program just made sense with where he was in life.
“It’s really great that I can work while doing school,” he said. “I don’t have to take time off. I can still work full-time. It’s just such a flexible schedule to work with, so it’s just great.”…
