Jury Nails Masked Gunman For East Harlem Liquor Store Slaying

A Manhattan jury has convicted Camby Wilson on all counts in the fatal shooting of 25-year-old Shaquell Gainey outside an East Harlem liquor store, closing a high-profile case that prosecutors say was laid out frame by frame on surveillance video.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced the verdict in a post on X, telling followers that his office had secured an “all-count” conviction and directing the public to more details about the prosecution through his X post.

According to authorities, surveillance footage captured a masked gunman firing inside the liquor store, then shooting Gainey as he tried to leave. The 25-year-old collapsed near a neighboring deli and was taken to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, as reported by FOX 5 New York.
