Coroner Requests Help Identifying Family of Men Who Died in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WBMA) — The Jefferson County Coroner/Medical Examiner’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating relatives of two individuals who recently died in Jefferson County. Officials say all attempts to identify and contact family members have so far been unsuccessful and are encouraging anyone with information to come forward.

The first case involves 58-year-old William Keith Brannon, a white male whose listed residence was in Tarrant. Brannon was pronounced dead at approximately 6:28 a.m. on February 24, 2026, in the 2700 block of Valley Road in Tarrant. According to the coroner’s office, Brannon suddenly became unresponsive while visiting a neighbor’s residence.
