Cincinnati man sentenced in federal court for having gun as a felon

COVINGTON, Ky. (WKRC) – A Cincinnati man was sentenced to four years in prison in federal court in Kentucky for possessing a gun while being a convicted felon.

Brian Hunter, 33, was stopped in Boone County in May 2025 for traffic violations. Officers found a loaded, stolen gun on the driver’s side floorboard.

Hunter was previously convicted in 2013 for illegally possessing a firearm after his involvement in a shootout at the A to Z Market in Cincinnati, and in 2014 for felonious assault and trafficking in cocaine…
