One person dead following four-vehicle crash in Ohio

OHIO — An 81-year-old woman was killed Monday afternoon in a four-vehicle crash on State Route 61, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Officials said the crash happened around 1:30 p.m. while road work was underway and a flagger was controlling traffic. A Ram pickup truck had stopped in the northbound lane, with a Toyota RAV4 stopped behind it.

Authorities said Ruth Pridemore, 81, of Willard, was slowing down as she approached the stopped vehicles when her car was struck by a fourth vehicle. The impact pushed Pridemore’s vehicle into the Toyota, which then hit the Ram pickup…
