An Orange County Sheriff’s deputy was charged with voluntary manslaughter for fatally shooting her fiancée in their Tustin home last summer, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office said.
Aimee Alexis Hidalgo, 28, of Tustin, shot her fiancée, 35-year-old Brittany Shaw, nine times when the victim returned to their studio apartment after walking their dog, the DA’s office said. The shooting was reported shortly after 5 a.m. on Aug. 8, 2025.
