(WJET/WFXP)– An Ohio man is facing criminal charges from the Pennsylvania Attorney General, who accused him of using the deposits for contract jobs on Erie County homes to fund his divorce, pay off credit cards and other personal expenses.
AG Dave Sunday’s office announced theft by deception, deceptive business practices and fraud charges against 69-year-old Kenneth Miller of Lewis Center, Ohio, on Monday, saying he blatantly stole from Erie County homeowners.

Miller stands accused of taking over $80,000 in deposits from four homeowners in Erie and Corry between November 2023 and May 2024, allegedly promising clients the money would be used for materials.
He then allegedly used those funds to pay his credit card bill, legal fees to pay a divorce attorney, buy jewelery and pay for car services, along with making large cash withdrawals. Sunday said Miller never went back to any of the homes to finish the jobs…
