OTTAWA COUNTY, MI — An unceasing drumbeat of public criticism over the continued operation of one of Michigan’s last coal-fired generating plants is not swaying Ottawa County leaders.
An overwhelming majority of Ottawa County commissioners in February 2025 said they believed that keeping the J.H. Campbell plant open was best for electric grid reliability.
