Former Horry County bus driver accused of putting student in ‘partial’ headlock

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A former Horry County bus driver is out on bond after being accused of a crime against a child on his bus.

Horry County police charged Michael McGrory, 67, with unlawful conduct toward a child.

A police report shows a 10-year-old student got onto a Palmetto Bays Elementary School bus on Feb. 18 and walked past McGrory with a lollipop.

As the student walked past, McGrory allegedly grabbed the student by his shirt collar and put him in a “partial” headlock before taking the lollipop…
