Burglary suspect charged after masked break-in at Hendersonville clothing store

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A suspected burglar accused of targeting a Hendersonville clothing store is off the street thanks to investigative techniques designed to help keep the community safe.

The Hendersonville Police Department said the incident happened on Sunday, March 1, when a masked suspect used a hammer to break into SOHO Gallery on Main Street, stealing more than $1,000 worth of high-end sweatshirts.

“After the crime, our detectives did not stop,” HPD Commander Jimmy Garrett told News 2. “They began doing a neighborhood canvass; they canvassed neighborhood businesses, looking for video.”

Authorities said they found video and used LPR technology, which led them to identify a black Toyota SCION as the getaway vehicle. However, the case then went cold, but that changed when it was handed over to the HPD’s new criminal analyst, who is trained to conduct deep dives on the internet on obscure websites to find clues about the suspect and possible accomplices…
