Pensacola man indicted on drug and firearm charges

PENSACOLA, Florida — Travis W. Carroll, a 26-year-old from Pensacola, Florida, has been indicted on multiple federal charges, including drug and firearm offenses.

Carroll faces one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, one count of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a convicted felon, and one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense, according to John P. Heekin, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida. Carroll appeared before United States Magistrate Judge Bolitho for his initial appearance at the United States Courthouse in Pensacola, Florida. His trial is scheduled for April 6, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. before District Court Judge M. Casey Rodgers.

If convicted, Carroll could face up to 20 years in prison for the methamphetamine charge, up to 15 years for possession of a firearm or ammunition by a convicted felon, and a minimum mandatory five years to life imprisonment for possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense, consecutive to any other sentence…
