Man evicted from family’s Pa. home tried to burn it down: police

A Pennsylvania man who was evicted from his family’s longtime home is charged with setting it on fire last month.

Police in the Pittsburgh suburb of Plum have charged William Gildernew, 23, with two felony counts and one summary count of arson, and single counts of burglary, risking a catastrophe and criminal mischief, according to online court records.

Gildernew was unable to post $100,000 bail and was ordered held in the Allegheny County Jail until a March 18 preliminary hearing…
