Dancing date at Spanish Springs apparently fueled jealous stabbing in The Villages

A dancing date appears to have fueled a jealous stabbing in The Villages.

William Tyler Warren, 42, is facing charges of attempted murder and aggravated battery following the stabbing that occurred Saturday evening near Veterans Memorial Park in The Villages. Warren is accused of stabbing a 39-year-old man who had planned to go dancing at Spanish Springs with a woman who has been living with Warren in a rented home on the Historic Side of The Villages, according to information from the Lady Lake Police Department.

Crystal Faye Daniels, 37, the female portion of the love triangle, contacted her ex-boyfriend and persuaded him to travel from Georgia to visit her in The Villages. He arrived and checked into the Comfort Inn Suites in the Spanish Springs area. They met at the hotel on Saturday and then got into her green golf cart with plans to go dancing at Spanish Springs Town Square. They were at the nearby Veterans Memorial Park at about 8 p.m. when Warren arrived in his blue golf cart. Warren, who stands 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 330 pounds, got out of his golf cart and threatened to kill the other man. There was an altercation and Warren fled in his golf cart back over the golf cart bridge to the Historic Side of The Villages.

The Georgia man discovered he had suffered “multiple deep lacerations to his abdomen.” Daniels took him to UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital in The Villages. She left him there and returned to the rented home she has been sharing with Warren at 732 Turnberry Lane…
