– The Florida State women’s tennis team (4-9, 0-4 ACC) fell 4-1 to No. 66 Wake Forest (8-7, 1-3) on Sunday afternoon at the Wake Forest Indoor Tennis Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
The Seminoles secured the doubles point for the sixth time in their last seven matches. On Court 1, Eva Shaw and Tina Li jumped out to a commanding 4-0 lead before Wake Forest responded by winning three of the next four games. Leading 5-3, Shaw and Li closed out the match with a 6-3 win to give FSU its first doubles victory of the day.
On Court 3, Cade Cricchio and Mary Boyce Deatherage battled to a 3-2 lead through the opening five games.
