Dozens of $175K modular homes might soon be on the market in Syracuse. Here’s how to buy one

Syracuse, N.Y. – The Greater Syracuse Land Bank is hoping to put up 52 manufactured homes in the city over the next year under a state-funded program designed to get qualified buyers out of rentals and into home ownership.

The land bank has applied under New York’s MOVE-IN NY program for subsidies that would allow it to sell the homes at below-market prices.

Katelyn Wright, executive director of the land bank, said she expects to receive a decision on the application in March. The nonprofit organization was established by the city and Onondaga County in 2013 to return vacant and abandoned properties to productive use…
