Two injured from an Interstate 35 accident just south of Osceola on Wednesday afternoon.
The Iowa State Patrol reports 20-year-old Ryleigh Rawls of Iowa City was heading southbound in the left lane of I-35 with a Kenworth unit heading southbound in the right line. Rawls attempted to merge into the right lane to take an exit ramp and came into contact with the Freightliner vehicle. Rawls’ vehicle became pinned between the Kenworth unit and the guard rail. Rawls was taken to Clarke County Hospital. A passenger in Rawls’ vehicle, 71-year-old Patricia Swartzendruber of Iowa City, was taken to a Des Moines hospital.
40-year-old James Lawrence of Benson, Arizona was the driver of the Kenworth and was not listed as injured…
