NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Mayor Helena Moreno plans to ask the City Council to increase the $24 fee New Orleans homeowners currently pay for trash pickup.
Moreno did not say how high of a fee increase she will seek.
“We really have to find a way to fix this,” Moreno said at a news conference Monday (March 9). “This fee hasn’t been touched since 2011. So, not happy about it. But this is where we are.”
