Latest Tom Thumb Store Now Open in North Texas

3rd of 4 locations under banner opening in region

A new Tom Thumb grocery store opened its doors at 6 a.m. on Friday, March 6 at 1046 Market Way in Argyle, Texas. According to the Albertsons-owned banner, area shoppers lined up overnight in anticipation of the official debut. Meanwhile, residents, community leaders and special guests attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony on the evening of Thursday, March 5. The event also featured performances by the Argyle Middle School Jazz Band and welcomes from Argyle High School cheerleaders and drill team members.

The 63,000-square-foot store is the third of four new Tom Thumb locations opening in North Texas within a six-month span, underscoring the company’s ongoing investment in fast-growing communities throughout the region. Two stores opened in December 2025, with another slated to open in Midlothian, Texas, next month. Additionally, a new Tom Thumb in Lucas, Texas, is under construction and expected to open later this year.

To mark the Argyle store opening, the first 300 shoppers received a free bag of groceries, and customers could access special deals, samples and in-store events through Sunday, March 8.
