ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A former Saint Pius X High School teacher has been ordered into a diversion program after being accused of battery against a student. According to a criminal complaint, band teacher Keith Jordan said several students caused a scene during a movie last December.

The complaint stated that Jordan took one of the student’s tablets, flung it against the wall, and then grabbed the student by the collar. Jordan reportedly admitted to threatening the student, and that’s when the student punched him. The student said it was in self-defense.
On Wednesday, Jordan was ordered into a diversion program, where he must complete an eight-hour anger management class. If he does that and doesn’t break any laws within the next six months, the battery charge will be dropped…
