Florence man cleared of grenade charges due to lack of evidence

FLORENCE, Ore. – Charges against a Florence man who lost his arm in a homemade grenade incident have been dismissed.

David Ray Allen faced charges of unlawful possession and manufacturing of a destructive device after attempting to throw a grenade at car prowlers. Lane County prosecutors filed a motion to dismiss the indictment last month.
