RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Reno Police Department Chief Kathryn Nance and five other members of RPD have been placed on paid administrative leave after allegations of violating city policy. Several sources who reached out to KOLO 8 News Now claim that the allegations stem from issues related to training, but city officials are not commenting on the nature of the misconduct at this time.
In a Monday press conference, Reno Mayor Hilary Schieve said that the city referred the allegations to the State of Nevada’s Department of Public Safety for an independent investigation.
City Manager Jackie Bryant says they have entered into a partnership with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office to assist with staffing issues as the investigation continues. The WCSO will provide personnel to assist with executive roles during the investigation…
