CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The City of Charleston, along with local authorities, will host a weeklong design charrette focused on the Project 3500 housing initiative.

Project 3500 is a city-wide initiative to build a net of 3,500 new affordable housing units across the city of Charleston, focusing on mixed-income, mixed-use affordable and workforce housing opportunities.
The charrette begins on March 16 and will allow the public to participate in discussions, open houses, and presentations related to the initiative.
