Man faces several charges after high-speed Ky. chase

BEREA, Ky. (WKYT) – A Nicholasville man faces nine charges after a high-speed pursuit through Madison County early Sunday morning, according to a Berea Police Department citation.

David Smith, 44, of Nicholasville, was arrested just after 1:00 a.m. Sunday on I-75 northbound near the 96-mile marker.

Just after midnight on Sunday, a Berea police officer clocked Smith’s gray Nissan Maxima traveling 80 mph in a posted 55 mph zone on KY-956 using mobile radar, according to the citation.
