2 seriously injured after crashing into sheriff’s office SUV, pushing it into fire truck on interstate in TN

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WSMV) – Two people were seriously injured after reportedly crashing into a parked Rutherford County Sheriff’s SUV and pushing it into a fire truck on Interstate 24 early Monday.

The sheriff’s office reports that the emergency vehicles were parked at the scene of a crash where a semi-truck overturned at about 1 a.m. between the Interstate 840 and Almaville Road exits.

A secondary crash then occurred involving a white sedan occupied by two men traveling at a “high rate of speed,” according to RCSO…
